Dr. Dreher is a Clinical Psychologist at Emerge. After receiving her doctorate degree in clinical psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Dr. Dreher felt called to leave her home city of Chicago and move west to be closer to nature. Before moving to Colorado, Dr. Dreher spent a year in Albuquerque completing her clinical internship at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. There, she developed expertise in assessing and treating autism in young children. Dr. Dreher then moved to Denver to complete her fellowship at the Sie Center for Down Syndrome at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Dr. Dreher is passionate about working with individuals across the lifespan living with developmental disabilities, including autism, intellectual disability, and genetic disorders. She provides treatment for individuals with and without developmental disabilities living with mental health concerns such as anxiety, mood disorders, and trauma. Dr. Dreher offers Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), although she believes in tailoring her treatment approach for each individual person. Dr. Dreher also offers behavioral parent training for caregivers of children who demonstrate aggression, self-injury, elopement, and other behavioral challenges. Outside of work, you’ll find Dr. Dreher in the mountains either rock climbing, skiing, hiking, or backpacking.
